With the press of a lever, this electric rice cooker makes up to 38 cups of cooked rice–perfect for restaurants, catering, and other commercial venues. Simply add virtually any type of dry rice, measure in the water, and turn the unit on. The versatile appliance can also steam vegetables while simultaneously cooking rice thanks to the included stainless-steel steamer basket. After the cooking cycle, the unit automatically switches to a keep-warm mode, which maintains an ideal serving temperature without over-cooking. For added convenience, the rice cooker’s tempered glass lid with a steam vent keeps in heat and moisture and allows for checking on food at a glance. It also provides a lid hanger and condensation catcher to help keep countertops dry and make serving easy.
