Cuisinart DCC-450 4-Cup Coffeemakers with Stainless-Steel Carafe

Cuisinart DCC-450 4-Cup Coffeemakers with Stainless-Steel Carafe

With a small footprint that doesn’t take up much space on the counter, this 4-cup coffeemaker is ideal for a small household or a second home. An “on” indicator light shows the unit is ready to go, while its 30-minute automatic shut-off function provides peace of mind, so there’s no need to worry when leaving the house in a hurry. The coffeemaker’s 4-cup stainless-steel carafe provides easy serving with its generous handle, knuckle guard, and dripless pour spout. For added convenience, removing the carafe from the warming plate pauses the brewing process and allows for a quick pour before brewing has finished. An instruction manual and a #2 paper filter starter kit are included. Strikingly modern in black and stainless steel, the coffeemaker measures 7-1/2 by 5 by 10-1/2 inches and carries a three-year limited warranty.

    And it rusts
I agree with those who report that this coffeemaker generates delicious coffee and that the carafe drips. But what surprised me was that the hot plate rusts.

    Cuisinart 4-cup Coffeemaker
This is our second Cuisinart 4-cup Coffeemaker. The first one, the cover operating mechanism broke. This one works well and keeps the coffee hot.

    Perfect for Travel!
I did a LOT of searching for a good, compact coffee maker to take with me when I travel (because I just don’t trust those coffee makers in the hotels :P ) so I could have good…

    Average
This is a nice small coffeemaker, but the cord is too short, it is hard to fill the water chamber, and the coffee is not hot enough.

    Mixed Emotions
This little coffee maker makes an excellent cup of coffee. Unfortunately, it also has a couple of detractions.

carafe dribbles water/coffee all over the place
This would be a great small coffee maker except for one minor quibble and one major one. Minor: the auto shutoff seems to occur in about 15 minutes.

    Coffee Tastes Like Plastic
Although I always clean a newly purchased coffee pot before I use it, cleaning didn’t do a thing to this one. The coffee tastes like plastic – very disappointing.

Not a bad little coffee maker
This 4-cup coffee maker is efficient, easy to clean, and consistent. The only complaint I have is that it comes with a few paper filters and not a permanent one.
