Good value for the price
The Cuisinart filter represents good value for the price. It is not the best filter out there, but neither is it priced like the “best” quality.

Not as golden as it used to be…
It’s a fine coffee filter, but not gold, which is a pity. The gold was meant to keep the filter from being tainted by off tastes: it presumably doesn’t do this any more.

Better than paper
I’ve had the same filter for at least 15 years–it’s outlasted I don’t know how many coffee makers and carafes.

Not for fine ground coffee!
Like any other permanent filter on the market, this requires weekly cleaning with vinegar, or other cleaner to keep build up on filter from adding bitterness to coffee.
