The Germ Guardian EV9LB Replacement UV-C Light Bulb and Filter is especially designed to be used with the Germ Guardian EV9102 UV-C Room Air Sanitizer. The 9-watt UV-C bulb included is replaceable and eliminates 99.9% of targeted airborne germs. The filter included destroys odors and allergens like dust mites and mold spores. The Germ Guardian EV9LB UV-C light bulb and filter fits into all EV9102 models. These bulbs and filters should be replaced once every year. UV-C light technology is a safe way to kill over 99% of airborne bacteria because it harnesses the power of naturally occurring UV-C light. This is the same technology hospitals use to sanitize. The bulb does not produce ozone and harmful bacteria known to cause staph, pneumonia, tuberculosis, bronchitis and meningitis is killed.
