Oxo Good Grips Food Mill

Product Description
The OXO Good Grips Food Mill is the perfect tool for preparing fresh purees, sauces, soups and more. It has a stainless steel inner bowl that is ideal for hot foods and will not stain, and includes 3 stainless steel grinding discs for fine, medium and coarse textures. Use the fine disc for homemade jellies, creamy sauces and baby food, the medium disc for applesauce and vegetable soups, and the coarse disc for mashed potatoes and chunkier sauces. The Food Mill has a unique release button that makes it easy to exchange discs and disassemble for storage. Three non-slip legs hold the Food Mill securely over bowls and pots up to 11 inches in diameter, keeping it out of your food. The legs also fold for easy storage. The soft, non-slip handle and knob ensure comfort when gripping the Food Mill and turning the blade. All parts are dishwasher-safe.

    Too small? Not quite.
With some trepidation, I ordered this food mill after reading the reviews that said it was too small.

    Good product, but too small
The mill works pretty well, but it’s really a little too small for most applications. It’s very time consuming and somewhat difficult to do something as simple as puree tomatoes.

    A good little tool
I bought this as an adjunct to a number of other “little” tools that are particularly needed for a switchover to 100% “home-prepared” foods.

I bought this to replace a food mill that had been my grandmothers… function finally won out over sentimentality – and am I glad!

    Disappointed
I have always wanted a potato ricer … this one is rather ungainly and ackward to use. Perhaps a hand-held version would have been better.

    Meets My Needs
I purchased this product to make homemade baby food for my baby girl. I have used the food mill once so far to make sweet potatoes for her.

This product is easy to assemble and take apart to clean. I ordered it to make baby food and because it has 3 different blades have flexibility to increase texture while removing…

    Oxo Food Mill
I had heard that only the food mills with interchangeable disks are worth buying. After using this product I can see the logic of that advice.

    Wasteful!
I bought this because my husband has to be on a strained food diet after surgery. I also was replacing my old rusty Foley foodmill that I use for applesauce and tomato sauce…

I have used my food mill for mashing persimmons. I am very pleased with the way it performed. I’m sure I will used it for other foods also.
